Before you quit, find out what they actually pay.
Not the number in the ad. What drivers working there right now took home last month, after deductions and sitting time. You get it free, before you decide anything.
✓ You never pay us. Not now, not ever. The carrier pays us.
You get ten of these a week. You know how they go.
"Hey, great opportunity, up to 90 cents a mile, home every two weeks, brand new equipment. Want me to send the details?"
You know "up to 90" means 60. You know home time depends on dispatch. You know new equipment means whatever was left in the yard. You say send it to my email, and you never open it.
"I am not the company's recruiter. They pay me only for getting you to the interview. Whether they hire you or not, I get nothing extra. So there is no reason for me to talk you into anything."
Everyone sells you a job. We sell you the truth about the job before you have given anything up. That is a different product, and it is the reason this call goes differently.
What we tell you about a carrier
Collected from drivers working there right now, not from a job board and not from the company's own recruiter.
Separate from everything else, we promise you this
Your number goes nowhere.
You deal with one person. It is not sold, shared or added to a list. Leave your number in one place online and twenty companies call you for six months. That does not happen here, and if it ever did, the promise would be worthless.
Nobody pulls your records until you are sure.
Every application means an MVR and a DAC pull, and the more of them sitting on your history, the worse it reads. The company looks only when you have decided you are actually going.
We call you 30 days after you start.
To ask whether the numbers matched what you were told. If they did not, you tell us, and that company never gets another driver from us. This is the part nobody else does, and it is what makes the rest of it believable.
And what we will not promise
- ×How much you will earn there. That depends on your miles, your dispatcher and your month.
- ×That you will like it. We have never driven your route.
- ×That the dispatcher will be good to you personally.
- ×Any number we cannot back up. "I do not know" is an answer we use.
We answer for the information. You answer for the job. That line is exactly where our responsibility stops, and we would rather say so now than have you find out later.
Things we do that nobody bills you for
A map of your market
Who pays what, and who treats drivers how. Most drivers have no idea whether they are being sold cheap.
Where not to go
The carriers people are running from, and the reason. This saves months of your life.
A read on your profile
With your class, endorsements and real experience, what you could be asking for. Many drivers run years below market.
Medical card reminders
An expired med card means you are unfit that same day, no grace period. We tell you before it happens. Nobody else will.
Endorsement dates
Hazmat renews on a five year cycle through TSA and processing takes 30 to 120 days. Miss it and you sit.
An answer in your language
English, Russian or Spanish. For a lot of drivers that is the difference between "understood" and "sort of understood".
What drivers ask us first
You are just another recruiter.
One difference. A recruiter is paid when you take the job, so he has to talk you into it. We are paid when you turn up for the interview. Once you are in the room we have been paid, and talking you into a bad fit only costs us the client.
What does this cost me?
Nothing, ever. If anyone in this industry asks a driver for money, turn around and walk. In several states taking a fee from a job seeker makes you a licensed agency, and we are not one.
Where do your numbers come from?
From drivers working there now. We call people all day, that is the job. Ask us which month the data is from and we will tell you.
I am not looking right now.
Understood, and we will not push. Just tell us when your contract ends and we will call a month before. If you want, we will send what your profile is worth today. Free, no obligation.
That company already called me.
Good. Then compare what they told you with what we tell you. If it matches, go to them. No hard feelings.
What if I say no after the interview?
Your right. We are paid because you showed up, not because you agreed. What matters to us is that you do not walk into something bad.
Which company are you looking at?
Tell us the name and we will tell you what we know about it. You do not have to apply, and you do not have to speak to us again.
What happens next
- 1One person calls you, within one business day. The same person every time after that.
- 2We tell you what we know about that carrier. If we do not know, we say we do not know.
- 3Nothing is pulled and nothing is sent anywhere until you say go.
- 4If you take the job, we call you again 30 days in to check it was true.
We work with a small number of carriers on purpose. Checking twenty companies properly is not possible, and a name we have not checked is a name we will not recommend.
